Lydia was born 4 months ago! (and a few days...)

Our beautiful Lydia turned 4 months old on December 31! It's taken me this long to post about it, as we've been busy with New Year's celebrations and cleaning up after Christmas!

Miss Lydia:

Lydia celebrated her first Christmas this year! She was asleep for most of it, but she enjoyed getting her picture taken under the tree.

She also enjoyed the dancing penguins with their tree that lit up.

And she enjoyed dressing up for church in December (she may have had a FEW Christmas outfits to show off!)

And on Christmas Eve, she had pajamas to match her big sister!

During the rest of the month, she was a normal baby with flowers in her hair.

And she was very patient with both her sister and her mommy for many fashion shoots:

We've had so much fun having our Pretty Lyddie around :) She's such a good baby, and hardly ever cries (she does a tiny bit to let us know when she's hungry or tired!)
A few other things about Lydia this month:

• She's still got lots of straight dark hair, but if you look at it in the light, there are several blonde streaks as well (like mine!) 
• Her eyes seem to be going green :) 
• She weighs just under 14lbs (as determined by our home scale... and which means we'll have to move her out of the playpen's bassinet insert soon!)
• She's still strictly a boob girl. However, her big sister has already offered her tastes of tortilla chips and honeydew melon. And who knows what else.
• Lydia sleeps through the night, every night - she usually goes to bed at about 11 and sleeps until about 9. 
• Lydia is a pro at tummy time! 
• She's started using her hands more intentionally, picking things up and turning them around. 
• Lydia has started reaching for things, whether she's on her back or her tummy, and will sometimes stretch awkwardly to try and grab things. 
• She's got a total mischievous twinkle in those pretty eyes of hers!
• If she's on her back, she'll arch her neck to see what's going on around her. 
• Lydia LOVES her sister - she's always watching her, and will sometimes even belly-laugh for Gabby! 
• She's just discovered spitting and blowing bubbles :) 
• Whenever she smiles, usually her pointy little tongue is sticking out. It's pretty funny :) 
• Lydia is very talkative, and I've had multiple strangers comment on what a "lovely singing voice" Lydia Melodie has. 
• Lydia is also very sociable and smiles at just about anybody who will coo at her :) 
• She already likes her soft books, and looking at the pictures in Gabby's big books! 
• Lydia has just started kicking and splashing in her bath... not sure if it's intentional or not, but she seems pretty happy about it :) 

We're so glad Lydia is a part of our family! I can't believe how quickly she's growing!
