She had her vaccinations ON her 7month birthday, poor thing. And they weighed and measured her, and I've got to go back to her card to get her weight and length. Which I will do eventually!
Also, Lydia was finally blessed on Sunday, April 2. Family came in from all over to be there. It was a good day - also General conference, so it was good, and it was also a bit of a gong show on my end!
At 7 months, Lydia:
- likes to play the tilt-my-head-and-copy-me game, and it is REALLY cute. Very flirty.
- can roll over anyway she wants.
- loves to be on her tummy.
- Which makes diaper changes pretty interesting.
- knows her name and will look up for it.
- gets up on her hands and knees and does "The Rock".
- army crawls everywhere.
- is very determined when she wants something, she'll go after it.
- still sleeps through the night, and will sleep really well for naps, but is too curious about things to sleep when we're out and about, not even in her carseat.
- has started solids, she loves Quinoa, Squash, and Cauliflower, but isn't such a fan of Spinach or Egg Yolk. She REALLY seems to hate spinach though.
- Can drink water from a sippy cup, and sometimes even holds it up by herself. I think she mostly just loves the big colorful cup in her face.
- Will choose to play with the old cell phone over any of her other toys.
- loves books and being read to.
- has begun being more assertive in her dislike of being "loved" by her older sister :)
- still has the squishiest, most kissable cheeks and neck
- might be ticklish
- has started to make strange with people, and is definitely a Momma's girl.
- seems to really like anything that makes noise/music - any kind of bag that crinkles, anything that rattles or shakes, and especially the little xylophones we've got, both the one with the keys and the one that needs to be hit. She LOVES these things.
- loves it when Daddy puts a blanket over her face, and then she knows how to pull it off and smile at him!
- Lydia has a fantastic laugh, right from her belly, and it makes everyone else laugh, too.
- has the pointiest little tongue that she loves to stick out, or curl up so that it touches her top lip.
- has gone through her sounds, one a week almost - the first noticeable sound that she "practiced" was "KKKKKK" (kind of a raspy throat sound) and then "PPPPPPPPPPPP" (puckered lips and blowing) and now it's "bah bah bah!" with her bottom lip sucked in, or "lah lah lah" with her little pointy tongue!
- we tried to get passport photos done, and we couldn't because she wouldn't give a neutral face with her mouth shut with both lips showing. She was either laughing, or sticking her little tongue out, or sucking on her bottom lip.
yay, she sounds like a perfect angel! I think you need to update on Gabby too, though.
