10 months and counting!

Lydia turned 10 months old on July 31. Seriously, I'm struggling to keep up with these, but because I did it with Gabby (and even made her a book) I know I HAVE to do this for all of the rest of my kids. Plus, I really do enjoy looking back... I just need to do better staying on top of things!

Lydia is seriously the best baby. She's even teething, but she hardly ever fusses. If she needs something, she'll just come up to me and pull herself standing on my knee, and not until the 3rd time (or so) that I walk away from her (ie if I'm busy making dinner or something) will she start to even protest! Seriously, easy, easy girl.

Anyway :)

At 10 months, Lydia:

• has 2 teeth (bottom middle)
• has tons of straight dark hair (with golden flecks in the light)
• has either light brown or dark hazel eyes. We still don't know. 
• likes to talk, loudly and shortly. As in "Bah! Wap! Lah!" :) 
• can crawl UP the stairs, but not down. 
• crawls like a speed demon. 
• always makes a beeline for the things she's not allowed (un-gated stairs, open bathroom doors, etc) 
• is super at turning pages - she does it REALLY FAST! 
• will sit quietly on grass, but will not crawl or roll on grass. Probably she doesn't like it :) 
• loves swimming
• likes to dance - if she hears music, she'll wave her arms, wiggle her fingers, and if she's standing, she'll bounce. 
• likes it when mommy sings. If I sing the abc song, she starts to wiggle her fingers like the sign language that Gabby knows, and if it's Twinkle Twinkle, she'll open and close her fists like we do. 
• LOVES books. I've started putting her down at night WITH a book, because otherwise she's really mad that we read 2 stories and no more. So she gets another book in bed, and falls asleep on her own from there. 
• Still sleeps through the night, still takes 1-3 naps a day, depending on our day. 
• won't nap if we're out and about, she's too curious about what's going on! 
• is mommy-clingy, and doesn't like going to other people. 
• eats anything and everything. this girl likes to EAT! anything pureed is great, but she'll also eat slices of cucumber, chopped fruit, pieces of meat, slices of bread, pasta, beans, etc... everything goes to her mouth. 
• now has a CRIB instead of a playpen to sleep in (because big-sister Gabby finally moved into a big girl bed while Korean Grandma was here!) 
• is starting to need more to occupy her attention to keep her quiet and still during church. Up until now, we'd only had to worry about Gabby! 
• loves to swing - she wants to do everything her big sister does, which means no leaving her behind at the playground! 
• is always more interested in the toys that Gabby has... pretty much, she idolizes her big sister already. 
• likes to POINT with her little finger :) 
• always reaches for Daddy when he comes home, even though with anybody else, she is "mommy-clingy" 
• likes to play "peek-a-boo" and belly laughs
• pulls herself standing on furniture and is starting to cruise a little big
• is a pro at clapping, and thinks it is hilarious when we all join in :) 
• makes the funniest scrunchy face when she is happy. 

I need to empty my camera and post pictures, but those will have to come later, since L is trying to help me type :)
