Whew!

So much new stuff going on! Paul keeps checking my blog and saying "why haven't you posted about this yet?"

For starters, IT'S A GIRL!!!!! We're very very excited, especially Paul. It's really cute :) To back up a little, at our first visit trying to determine the gender, the baby wouldn't pry its knees apart and we couldn't see anything! And while we're proud of our baby for already having an
understanding of modesty, we really wanted to know what we were having. At the next ultrasound, the technician told us that the baby's hand was covering 'down there'. Go figure. Stubborn little kid already! But with lots of prodding and waiting, the tech said that she's really really sure it's a little girl in there :) So yay! First granddaughter on the Spackman side (unless Erica has a girl)
And the reason I haven't posted all of this exciting news already: I've started my new job as resident manager! Which, sadly, means that Lisa is gone to Brooks, but truly she's just a phone call away. Which I've taken advantage of several times in confusion as to what being resident manager really means :) So far I've shown a few apartments, dealt with THREE plumbing problems, sent out two late-rent notices, cleaned the building, and I might even be looking forward to an abandonment notice. Fun stuff! All the while not having a computer to work on, and patiently waiting for our new suite to get painted (the baby's room is going to be "Bubble"SW) Hopefully we're moving into our new, bigger apartment this weekend, and I can't wait :)
