4 months old

Today Gabby is 4 months old!

She got her vaccinations today, so happy 1/3 birthday to her. however, she is doing much better with these shots than she did with her 2-month shots -- there has been no crying or fussiness, and even a few smiles.

Gabby at 4 months:

~ is 14lbs 10oz

~ is 24 1/2 inches long

~ still has blue eyes and dark golden, curly hair. Her hair is getting long.

~ laughs a LOT

~ will go to anyone

~ will usually sleep from 10-ish to about 8 or 9, with just a few naps during the day.

~ can roll over with a little help (from back to front, just pull on her hand and she'll do the rest. from tummy to back, she needs help with both arms, but she'll tuck her head and curl her body to do the roll!)

~ pooped in my lap yesterday. because she was wearing a big-girl outfit, no onesie. just shirt and pants. and the poop went up the top of the back of the pants and into my lap. Thankfully we were already doing laundry at Gwamma's.

~ has started really paying attention to when people are eating.

~ is really good at tummy time, and will go for quite a while before she wants a change.

~ is starting to reach for things. Just barely.

~ likes to put as many fingers in her mouth as she can fit.

~ plays with or chews on her binkie more than she sucks on it.

~ likes to gnaw on knuckles.

~ always remembers her Gwamma and tries to eat her face. (it's their game)

~ has caught, passed on to Mommy, and gotten over her first cold.

~ has begun having her baths in the big tub with a towel under her head, and LOVES it. she loves to splash the momma and the daddy with her feet, and doesn't even mind when her face gets wet.

~ is fascinated by other kids, and likes watching them play.

~ likes cheering for the Calgary Flames with Daddy.

~ loves her Jolly Jumper, and will start kicking even before we finish getting her in. Not crazy jumping, but little hops all over the place.

~ has figured out that she can purse her lips and make it difficult to give her Vitamin D.

~ will hold on to toys that you give her, and has begun holding them above her face if she's lying down, and then trying to get them into her mouth.

~ had her first taste of lemon. Daddy had lemon juice on his finger, and gave her a teeny taste, and she didn't even make a face. Just smacked her lips a little bit.
~ no longer does the Tragic Face. I actually really miss it - it was cute!

~ squirms a LOT. can COMPLETELY undo her swaddle.

~ does this really funny laugh - everything ends in an inhaled-squeal with a smile.
